This article presents the author’s original conceptual approach through an analysis and critique of the political philosophy in The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli. The essence and underlying foundations of Machiavelli’s advice and recommendations to rulers are examined, while certain principles that do not align with the ideals of humanism and peace are critically challenged. In their place, alternative forms of political wisdom are proposed in the form of reflections, analyses, conclusions, and general principles. Furthermore, the article presents concise conclusions regarding the nature of the ruler, his policies, the governing principles he relies on, the qualities and types of rulers, and the concept of a “state of peace” as a new paradigm in political philosophy. Within this framework, morality is established as the defining criterion of essence, as the fundamental principle underlying all other principles.Downloads
