Abstract

This article analyzes the pedagogical and psychological foundations for developing autopedagogical competence in prospective fine arts teachers. It highlights the importance of self-awareness, analysis of one’s own activity, independent learning, creative inquiry, and continuous professional self-improvement in the process of professional training. The relationship between psychological processes characteristic of fine arts education-attention, perception, memory, thinking, and imagination-and students’ creative activity and reflective development is also examined. The potential of the History of Fine Arts course to broaden art- historical knowledge, enrich artistic and aesthetic perspectives, and support the independent professional development of future teachers is substantiated.
