SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE THEORETICAL-METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF GENERAL PIANO INSTRUCTION BASED ON THE CONCEPT OF PERSONALITY-ORIENTED EDUCATION

Abstract

This study is devoted to the scientific development of the theoretical- methodological foundations of general piano instruction based on the concept of personality- oriented education. The paper analyzes the essence of personality-oriented education, its didactic principles, and the possibilities of applying them to the process of general piano instruction. It also develops the theoretical foundations, methodological approaches, and pedagogical conditions of instruction with consideration of the student’s individual psychological characteristics, musical abilities, interests, and needs. The findings of the study are aimed at providing scientifically grounded recommendations to teachers on applying the personality- oriented approach in piano lessons.
