PAID INTERNSHIP: LEGAL BASIS, SOCIAL SIGNIFICANCE AND CURRENT ISSUES

This article provides an in-depth analysis of the legal, social and economic aspects of the paid internship institution in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The author puts forward a scientifically based approach to the formation of internship as an independent labor subject in the evolutionary development of labor law, the practical significance of regulatory legal acts adopted during 2023-2025, and their role in the youth employment system. The article comparatively studies the legal mechanisms of the paid internship system based on the new Labor Code, Presidential decrees and government resolutions, the institute of a tripartite agreement, social guarantees of interns, and the mechanisms of influence of advanced models in international experience (USA, Germany, European Union). The article also identifies current problems such as existing regulatory and legal gaps, passivity of employers, and insufficient functioning of financial mechanisms, and puts forward specific institutional and economic proposals to eliminate them. The research results indicate the need to modernize the paid internship institution, ensure its transparency through digital platforms, and form an effective legal framework for integrating young people into the labor market.Downloads
