Abstract

This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the role and significance of autopedagogical competence in the process of visual arts education. Autopedagogical competence is interpreted as a teacher’s ability to independently plan, analyze, and improve their professional activities, highlighting its role in effectively addressing pedagogical tasks in teaching visual arts and art history. The article also examines the didactic possibilities, methodological approaches, and existing pedagogical challenges in developing autopedagogical competence among future visual arts teachers. The research findings substantiate that autopedagogical competence is a crucial factor in enhancing the quality of visual arts education and in fostering students’ creative and professional development.
