Abstract

This article provides a scientific and methodological analysis of the development of autopedagogical competence in students during English language education. Autopedagogical competence is interpreted as the student’s ability to independently plan, manage, analyze, and improve their learning activities, highlighting its role and significance in the process of learning English. The study explores the autopedagogical opportunities offered by English language education, including fostering independent learning, cultivating reflective thinking, and effectively utilizing international information resources. Furthermore, the article analyzes modern pedagogical approaches and methods for developing autopedagogical competence, identifies existing pedagogical challenges, and proposes ways to address them. The findings demonstrate the scientific and practical significance of autopedagogical competence in enhancing the effectiveness of English language education and supporting students’ professional and personal development.
