Abstract

The article provides information about the history of the Samarkand textile industry. The history of silk reeling, silk production, knitting, and sewing, which are branches of light industry, goes back many centuries. In particular, the activities of handicraft workshops, artels, workshops, and factories organized in the textile industry are highlighted. Opinions are also given on the activities of the factories and the achievements of the branches organized in the districts. In production, there was a master-student tradition. Samarqand factories produced yarn, fabrics, ready-made clothing, bedding, and carpets, and their products became world-renowned. These factories also produce more than forty types of products, such as skullcaps, suzani, curtains, and national wedding garments decorated with Uzbek national patterns. Five-year plans and daily tasks implemented by the state have been fulfilled by 110-115 percent. At the same time, he was attentive to his work at the factory.
