THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE HARMONY OF NATIONAL AND UNIVERSAL VALUES IN MODERN GOVERNANCE

Abstract

This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of the harmony of national and universal values in the system of public governance, state policy, and international relations. Furthermore, it is argued that national values, shaped on the basis of the historical experience, cultural heritage, religious views, and social way of life of each people, define the moral and spiritual foundations of society and ensure internal stability. In addition, it is demonstrated that universal values, encompassing such common principles as human rights, justice, equality, freedom, and peace, constitute an important foundation of global cooperation and sustainable development.
